About the Creator

Ivy Egger lives in Pennsylvania where she grew up. She took an interest in art early in life. She studied at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia before graduating from Millersville University with a B.A. in art. After graduating she took additional design courses at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. After trying out many artistic means, her current medium of choice is gouache, because of its versatility and forgiving characteristics. She creates her art using inspiration from nature and emotions interpreted within landscapes and sometimes figures posed within the scenery. She has shown in many art shows in the Greater Philadelphia region. Some recent exhibitions include "Time Capsule" at Steel City Coffee House, and “Emotions Through Color" at The Plastic Club in Philadelphia. Some upcoming exhibitions include Art Ability and the members show at Chester County Art Association. I work in gouache (like acrylic but more matte), alcohol ink, mosaic (glass), and sometimes watercolor. When I'm not making art, I'm working as a bookkeeper, hanging out with my husband and my young son. I enjoy cooking, eating out, and traveling.
